Privacy policy

At Greetwood we sell handcrafted furniture and home pieces — not your data. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you shop with us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the Greetwood website, our social media channels, and any order placed with us over phone, WhatsApp or chat.

By using our website or placing an order with us, you agree to this Privacy Policy. It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.

Who We Are

Greetwood is a handcrafted furniture and home décor brand based in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, India. Our website address is https://greetwood.com. We are the data fiduciary responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

  • Order and contact details — your name, delivery address, PIN code, email address and mobile number.
  • Account details — if you create an account, your login credentials and saved addresses.
  • Communications — messages, photos and order details you send us by email, WhatsApp, phone, the contact form, or social media, including photos submitted with an exchange claim.
  • Reviews and feedback — any review, rating or comment you choose to submit.
  • Bank details — only where a Cash on Delivery refund has to be made by NEFT, and only for that purpose.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data — your IP address, browser type, device type, referring pages, the pages you view on our site and the time you spend on them.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — small files that keep your cart and session working and help us understand how the store is used.

What we do not collect

We do not store your full card number, CVV or UPI PIN. Payments are processed directly by our payment partners on their own secure systems; we only receive confirmation of whether a payment succeeded, along with a transaction reference.

How We Use Your Information

  • To process, pack, ship and deliver your order, and to handle Cash on Delivery collection.
  • To send you order confirmations, dispatch notices, tracking links and delivery updates by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
  • To answer your questions and provide customer care.
  • To assess and settle exchange claims for transit damage, wrong product or manufacturing defect.
  • To process cancellations and refunds.
  • To verify PIN code serviceability before confirming an order.
  • To improve our products, website and service, and to understand which pieces our customers respond to.
  • To send you offers, new arrivals and promotions — only where you have opted in, and you can opt out at any time.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Who We Share Your Information With

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with the parties who help us run the store, and only to the extent they need it:

  • Logistics and delivery partners — including Bigship and our own delivery team, who receive your name, address, PIN code and mobile number in order to deliver your parcel.
  • Payment gateways and banks — who process your payment and any refund.
  • Our e-commerce platform — our store runs on Shopify, which hosts our website and securely stores order and customer data on our behalf.
  • Communication and analytics providers — who help us send order notifications and understand how our site is used.
  • Legal and regulatory authorities — where we are required to disclose information by law, court order, or to protect our rights, property or safety.

Some of these providers may store or process data on servers located outside India. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to be protected to the standard described in this policy.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to keep your shopping cart and session working, remember your preferences, and measure how the store is used so we can improve it. Some cookies are essential — the site will not function correctly without them. Others are used for analytics and marketing.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling essential cookies may prevent you from adding items to your cart or completing checkout.

Marketing Communications

We will only send you promotional emails, SMS or WhatsApp messages if you have opted in — for example, by subscribing to our newsletter or accepting our welcome offer. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email, by replying STOP to a message, or by writing to hello@greetwood.com.

Transactional messages about an order you have placed — confirmations, dispatch and delivery updates — are not marketing and will continue to be sent so long as your order is in progress.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep your order and contact information for as long as your account is active and for as long afterwards as we need it to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Marketing preferences are kept until you withdraw your consent. Information we no longer need is deleted or anonymised.

How We Protect Your Information

Our website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and our e-commerce platform and payment partners maintain industry-standard security controls, including PCI-DSS compliance for card payments. Access to customer information within Greetwood is limited to the people who need it to fulfil your order or help you.

No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we take the protection of your information seriously and act promptly if we become aware of a problem.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Ask us what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
  • Ask us to delete your personal information, where we are not required to keep it by law.
  • Withdraw your consent to marketing communications at any time.
  • Raise a grievance about how your information has been handled.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at hello@greetwood.com. We may ask you to verify your identity before we act on the request, and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Children

Our store is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Third-Party Links

Our website and social media pages may link to other sites — for example, our logistics partner's tracking page or our Instagram and Facebook profiles. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The current version will always be available on this page. Where a change is significant, we will make it prominent on our website.
